I do!
Yesterday I was discussing a problem with 2 coworkers when a third walked by and made a comment about "bullshitting". One of the two I was talking to threw his papers and everything in the floor and yelled "That's it! If we can't discuss a problem then I'm going home!" And he did!
I thought he was joking but they tell me he does it on a regular basis.
He was back later that afternoon.
that's great
where i work we have a lot of seasonal workers, mostly on work programs frm other countries, mexico and the islands, we get some pretty crazy behaviour, mini culture wars, the odd fight (i had to difuse a situation a few weeks back between two workers one armed with a with a bike chain, and the other with a mop handle, lots of fun
I work with parollee south central gang members. They have told me some stories I can't repeat here. Your people skills get real good real quick. There's very few fights because everyone knows you have to go all the way. When you get to know them them there nice guys (except if you piss them off the'll kill you)
Ooooh, fun.
Makes me glad I work with kids.
I used to move furniture and we worked with this guy who was a big f*cker with the IQ of a tree stump. Luckily he liked me. I saw him get into a fight once. This guy, who was actually bigger than him, and pretty damn scary, started talking **** and threatening to kick his ass, and he didn't even hesitate. He immediately kicked the guy in the balls, jumped on him, and beat the living **** out of him. No mercy.
It was a thing of beauty.
you know, they remind me of kids when they let ther quard down. They won't go anywhere without there shanks (knife for stabbing people). I'm not kidding.
Gee, I thought EVERYONE worked with crazy people!
I work with crazy people in the sense that we rip the pee out of each other.
We can insult each other in the nastiest of ways and not get offended.
It makes the day go by nicely.
Kickycan.I wish I knew someone who had the guts to beat the poo out of someone bigger than him.Id ask him to be my bodyguard, for no reason other than it would be cooool.
I want to kick my boss in his head today.
Those people who use violence are not crazy, they are lazy and irresponsible. Lazy because they cannot be bothered to use their brains to resolve an issue or a problem and irresponsible because they have no right to physically hurt another person just because they feel 'disrespected' - a condition where society has become immune to people to lose control of themselves if their feelings are hurt or they are insulted!
I would like have a mini-superpower like being able to zap people (just by wishing it) when they do or say something that drives me nuts, just a gentle zing so that the fool knows they made a boo-boo. I generally am against violence and would not dream of beating someone up since I equate that with the inability or smarts to be equal or better mentally than the person who is insulting or pissing you off. If I can't spar verbally with the ass and beat him, then I'll content myself with flinging insults and swear words at him and stomping away. I would only use violence if I was physically attacked myself (plus the fact I am a wuss and a coward).
In my workplace I am the craziest one working here so I have that squared away. That being said, I am not a stupid idiot who would go home when I don't get my way ... wait ... that's not bad ... I could let lots of time off. People are too confused by me to question it anyway. I already come to work when I please and my boss never says a word. Damn that catholic upbringing. I still feel an obligation to do the right thing and put in my hours, get the work done, etc., etc. So I am a crazy-sensible.

WRONG! Maybe in a lot of cases this is true, but the guy that I mentioned was not lazy. He was stupid. There is a big difference. And if you knew him, you would know that he really had no other option. He was as dumb as a stump, and there is no school in the world that could have helped him. Trust me, I worked with side by side with him for awhile. He did the best with what little brains god gave him. I guess that means that he wasn't crazy though.
i've worked with a few certifiably insane people in my career -- as opposed to the flaky, might lose it once in a blue moon people, of which there are many...
