Ok, did something stupid.
Caulked the backsplash of my new countertops where it meets up with the wall. I DID NOT use any tape when I caulked. (Read the directions after the fact) Tried to paint where the caulk went up on the wall...and the paint is beading. It's not paintable caulk. What can I do now???

graphixgrrl, Caulking is hard even for the pro's. I've heard this one before (I've done it before). Don't experiment. You'll make it worse. It's hard to say what to do without seeing it. Can you prime the caulking so paint will stick to it. P.S. I do this for a living.
Take a razorblade and remove the excess caulking. Make it flush with the back edge of the backsplash.

This works. Inless the backsplash is against painted drywall. Then when you pull it up it might tear the paint off.
