Hello, I'm just popping in to see what the traffic is like and to test the waters of this community. http://ourworld.cs.com/Yoda%20Smilie/Yoda+13.gif

I have, arhumm, I mean I had a huge assortment of Yoda smilies that I drew up, plus several other types I created and hundreds of more I gathered from around the net. The site I previously had them all on died, I wish I had an address to present to you so you could have seen my collection.

I am a husband and a father, I celebrated my thirteenth anniversary of turning 21 back in March. I am a banker at a prominent financial institution, and I am native to Northern California. I have a strong faith in Christ, I study the bible, but I am not a member of any congregation.

Wasn't there some discussion about limiting the number of bankers to none? Ah, well. I guess now all hope is lost. :wink: Welcome, Yoda!

Yup, just another simple banker I am, and since I have a fellow banker here, I will ask you the same question I ask all new hires to answer, just to see what type of skills they have...

3 men pay for a nights stay in a motel, the cost is $25, the 3 men pay $10 each. The extra $5 was a tip.

3x10= 30-5= 25 right?

The manager of the motel felt guilty for accepting such a large tip. So instead, the manager kept $2 and gave the men back $1 each. The men origanaly paid $10 but where reimbersed $1, meaning that they now only paid $9 each, correct?

9x3= 27 right?

The manager only kept $2; 9x3+2= 29.

What happened to the 30th dollar?

Way to avoid the answer. http://ourworld.cs.com/Yoda%20Smilie/Yoda+23.gif

Here's one you probably haven't heard...

If a bird and a half laid an egg and a half in a day and a half, what color would the sun be when it rises at midnight? http://ourworld.cs.com/Yoda%20Smilie/Yoda+animated+looking+up.gif

Welcome, everyone; I hope that you all enjoy yourselves here, and make the most of such a great place.

As for your question, Yoda-- *assumes Bad French movie actress mode* Who is to say that the sky is blue? Sun is subjective; orange or red are subjective; the sun being orange or red is thus subjective. What's to say that blue is not green, green is not yellow, and yellow is not blue? What if the whole world were colourblind, and thus we always read each colour wrong? What is colour anyway? We have been couped up into believing in state-supported 'colours.' 'Red,' if anything, is a state of mind. Walk forth into the light of knowledge, and find out what 'red' really means to you.

OK; you can stop hiding now.

Cute. :wink:
That had to been the best thought out answer I have ever heard to my pointless question. In fact, it is close to the answer of the question...

A bird and a half can't lay an egg and a half in a day and a half. And who cares what color the sun would be at midnight, I'll be asleep. Confused

Yoda, they gave 27, not 29.

True and correct, all together they paid out $27 and got $3 back. (25+2+3=30) Very Happy
