Welcome to Zacksmom and Glennburt. You may get many or few replies, but they will all be seen here; they don't happen very quickly, maybe over several days.
There are so many interesting threads to enjoy, I don't think you'll have time to wait for replies in all of them!

I think that if you have checked Get Updates (or some phrase like that - Enable Updates?) when you sign in to A2K, then whenever you post on a topic, you will get an update.
On the topics you haven't posted on - for example, if you scroll the New Posts pages and click on some of those topics - you can get updates by clicking on the words in blue "Turn on email updates".
If you don't want updates at all, ever, then don't enable them on your account. Then you can read replies on My Posts (see in little blue letters at the top left of the page.)
