Actually, skyhigh, in the interest of full disclosure, I live in Boston, MA. But I have close connections to the Sandwich Islands, visit there often and have picked up a smattering of the language. You'll find me on the Big Island more often than Oahu, though. There are a number of Hawaii residents on this site, though. Seaglass is one. And Pueo is a Hawaii native now residing on Guam. You'll meet friends here.

I just read this page, for fun; just before retiring for the night. We are five hours ahead of EST here.
Welcome to everybody.
I like the word games and literary bits, and dabble in doggerel verse (corny poetry), and make the occasional political comment.

Have met a lot of fine folks through A2K

Had no idea such a place existed and am very glad to be here. Smile

Hey everyone,

I stopped writing for several years, but now I want to get back into it. Its hard for me to sit down and write when I can't share it with others so I thought this would be the perfect place! Hope to in turn read some other wonderful things here!

Hey, Kermie04; welcome to A2K! I'm sure that you will find A2K the perfect place to share your writing, thoughts, whatever; the people on the Original writing board, my-self included, are always interested in hearing new voices... so, enjoy your stay, and don't forget to come back!

Hello Ladies
I am Sharon Lane, a 55 yr old Grandma to 2 beautiful kids and Mom to one fabulous son. I started out in my flower child days studying computer technology. That let me down a very interesting path. I was a single parent until my son turned 13. My husbands life with me was cut short when he died of a cerebral hemmorhage at age 48. At that point, I was alone and felt my life was ended, and it almost was. I was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. And that ladies, was the beginning of my life!

I went through two years of surgeries and treatments, but from the first day, I volunteered as a cancer advocate. I worked as a volunteer for ACOR for a few years and then branched out with my own informational websites. I use my previous computer experience and the extensive medical research knowledge I learned as a cancer patient and advocate and I now maintain/author several websites for rare adult cancers and pediatric cancers Edit (Moderator): Link removed and that keeps me busier than I want to be.

I live in NY and AZ. I am staying a little longer in AZ this year to take care of some medical situations, but I can not wait to head to the hills of upstate NY. I want to bask in the trees and smell the grass growing. I may lurk for a while on the group, but I will post from time to time. I just need to find the time! Very Happy
