Well, the way I understand "The Rules" here, everyone is expected to abide by "The Rules" ... Newbie, Vetreran,"Altie", "Return Poster", whatever ... on these boards, the same rules apply across the board. I don't see anything in "The Rules" preventing anyone from maintaining more than one member identity; while it isn't encouraged, and it can lead to problematic situations, it isn't prohibited, though all member identities are expected to abide by "The Rules".

I owe you an apology. Embarrassed

I haven't actually been on a board that would allow more than one identity per person. In fact, it's usually specifically mentioned as a violation, and results in a ban. My point in my previous posts was that I didn't see anything included that was unique with the exception of ban versus suspension.

Due to the shared use of a router, as described on the other forum, I usually have to let someone (at least behind the scenes) know about my situation to avoid any problems.

I would never entertain the idea of more than one identity. Now I see the obstacles one faces here. Thank you for taking the time to clarify these points for me.

Welcome to A2K where we are lucky enough to have Timber explain all the nuts, bolts and nuances while we merrily post our way through the lists.

I am new and probably will always refer to myself in that way just due to the fact no one knows everything. Sometimes it is not so clear on exactly how the site works. Thanks to some Veteran Members and others, they have kindly pointed me in the direction as to where to go if I am in the wrong area. As far as reading, I did read the rules. As far as the help section, I read that also. There are so many pages to read and I speak for myself, I sometimes forget some of what I have read. I am trying my best to use the site correctly, but then I make mistakes. What I do not like is what I will refer to as cyberbullys. Those are the ones who have been on the site for quite some time and when a new person shows up, they can be quite cruel. They are not doing anything against the rules that I can see, they are just cruel. I have used the report button a few times one was when someone was I believe in the test section and was spelling the wording of drugs, the other was when I was attacked by cruel words and I felt the individual was out of line. I even reported myself hoping the moderators would read exactly what was going on. By reporting myself I wanted to make sure they got an understanding of the whole picture. Not just one post. I personally try to use the report button only when I feel it is necessary since the ones behind the scenes have enough work to do already. I personally like this site so far and this is the first time I have ever joined a forum.

One last thing. Page one of this thread said the staff is identified. I see jespah has project manager and administrator as his/her identity. I have not seen any other staff members you refer to as "Moderator" listed under their name. Is this correct or am I wrong? If I am correct then page one saying that should be corrected so as not to mislead anyone.

We don't identify most of the staff so that they aren't inundated with mail or otherwise bugged. I'll change the initial post, thank you for pointing that out.

I was going to say, that I'm new and I joined this forum because it looked good, but if there's to much bitchiness going on, I won't bother. Confused

nj29au, you make it sound bad. I can be a bitch, been called a bitch, am a bitch (sometimes), etc. etc., but I am still here. You should give it a try before you make a decision.

Some people stick their foot in the water, and find it too cold. Their choice not to swim; their loss.
