hi i stumbled across this site while trying to find an answer to a couple of riddles. im not to sure how this site works but if anyone can answer these riddles i am greatful for your help. here's how they go...

1.deep in the forest was found the body of a man who was wearing only swinning trunks, snorkel and facemask. the nearest lake was 8 miles away and the se was 100 miles away. how had he died?

2. a man walks into a bar and asks the barman for a glass of water. the barman pulls out a gun and points it at the man. the man says 'thank you' and walks out.
why did the man thank the barman?

I'm guessing that the "gun" is one of those cigarette lighters in the second question and the man in the first riddle was scubadiving in the ocean when he got picked up by a helicopter which collected water from the see to pour on a forest fire. Nobody noticed the scuba diver so he got dumped on the fire.

Is that right?

Hi all, and especially the new people... In the second riddle, the man had the hiccups. The bartender realized this and, instead of giving him water to cure them, frightened him with the gun. The hiccups stopped, the man says thanks and leaves...
