More family bad news. Her mom has had a stroke.

I wish her mom the best and I wish I had 10% of the strength and courage Cindy has. After putting up with ther vilest and most viscious lies and smears ever thrust upon a woman in my time, she has held up remarkably well.

God Bless You, Cindy and God Bless the United States of America.

I wonder if Move On will care about her mother as much...or is it just the family members which help their agenda.

Move on is not an entity that thinks. Move on does not have the capablity of having human emotions so it can't "care" about her mother.

It is rather amazing that righties so often refer to oraganizations as anthropomorhic monoliths that "have" opinions. It says something about their general lack of being able to think critically when this practice of setting up fictitious demonistic straw bogeymen to knock down is so common.

You of the "neocon" vast right wing conspiracy claiming to lump groups and people together. Don't you think you should be pointing the finger of yours inward as well?

I challenge you to find one post in which I attributed anthropomorphic traits to an organization, left or right.

She sounds like most young women in California, except she talks a lot slower. I always hated that "Valley Girl" accent too til I moved here, now I find myeslf subconsciously mimicking it but talking "that way" does get people to perceive you as younger (on the West Coast) yah!

If it works for men, I'll try it when I'm in failing youth.

Of course, up there in the North Country, I can see how you hear it differently, eh?

Well, this is another topic but the men talk the same only a lot slower and less slurry. I swear to God, a lot of times some of the younger women seem to be speaking another language. But I am a middle-aged rather aristocratic (in speech) Ivy league x-preppie kind of woman, subconsciously trying to be a surfer girl.

Middle aged...with grandchildren?
Damn.
I'm 30 and have no kids yet.
Still am one...and I'm a handful.

CINDY SHEEHAN LEAVES, OTHERS STAY ON
TO KEEP PRESSURE ON BUSH FOR MEETING

Mother's Illness Won't Change the Agenda at Camp Casey;
Prayer Vigil Tomorrow Will Take Place at 12 Noon CDTFriday

Statement by Cindy Sheehan:

This afternoon around 4 p.m. Crawford time my sister DeeDee received a call that our mother has had a stroke and is in the emergency room at a hospital in Los Angeles.

As you can imagine, this is a devastating blow for my sister, my brother, my children and me.

I'm leaving Crawford temporarily to go be with my mother. While I am gone, the other mothers of fallen soldiers in Iraq, along with the Iraq war veterans and other soldiers will remain at Camp Casey and keep up the pressure on the President to meet with us and answer questions about the war.

Statement by Patricia Vogel of Military Families Speak Out

(Patricia Vogel's son, Aaron, has served in Iraq and may be re-deployed)

We needed Cindy to start this movement and now Cindy needs us to keep it going. We are staying in Crawford until we get answers, or until the President completes his five-week vacation.

Dozens of religious leaders, military mothers, and supporters of Cindy Sheehan's message will gather at Camp Casey to observe a moment of silence Friday at 12:00pm CT.

Religious leaders will be on hand to lead the observance and offer prayer and a moment of silence for the military serving around the world, those who have given their lives in combat, and their loved ones. They will also echo Cindy Sheehan's calls, asking the President to meet with military families who seek his ear, and to withdraw our troops from Iraq.

Cindy Sheehan, Gold Star Families for Peace, and the religious leaders, have invited President Bush to attend the prayer meeting.
