Firstly, a lot of New York's restaurants, trying to drum up more trade, are offering menus with French wines. The wine thing for me doesn't mean anything, since I mostly drink Portuguese table wines because they're cheap, and the Portuguese I know are not in favor of what we're doing.

The New York Times today reported that Bush, speaking to a group of veterans, did not mention the war on terrorism, the hunt for the weapons of mass destruction. or even very much on regime change. The major thrust now is the liberation of the Iraqis. So, after we win this glorious war, we can set about liberating many other countries. Perhaps Canada would like to be shown the error of its ways? Maybe we can go to Nicaragua or Salvador and save them from what we set up for them?
