Lola - glad you got home to get some rest.

Bernie's got some self-re-education to work on. Glad he's gonna be around to do it.

It looks like Bernie won't be coming home today. I don't think it's anything serious, just more stuff. Chest pain during the night, but it's not related to his heart functioning. It may be just the adjustment to the stents. I'll know more later. There's no reason to be worried. Except Bernie is of course highly disappointed. He's growing impatient with being in the hospital.........which at this point is understandable. Still he has to stay a little bit longer.

More later

I know it's hard being in the hospital, but let them keep him as long as they need to. The worst thing to do is send someone home too soon.

Good grief! They just did an angioplasty LAST NIGHT! I'd think they'd automatically want to watch him for at least 24 hours! Especially given all he's been through.

Lola
Lola, I know Bernie is eager to come home, but you don't want him home in a condition which you are not able to handle and which may risk his recovery.

Eva- You are absolutely right. No matter what, Bernie needs to be watched for at least a day after a procedure like that.

I'm glad to hear the good news that the angioplasty went well, and sorry to hear the Bernie won't be in his own bed for a while longer.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Lola. You're both in my thoughts.

ehBeth, are you telepathic or what? I very nearly wrote in that last post that I was hoping to see B&L in October!

(I have the vacation days, it's the $$ that I'm still contemplating. But hey, the sooner I buy a plane ticket, the cheaper it'll be...)

Lola,

Thank you so much for being by B's side. Send him my best wishes.

Tell him to listen to what the docs and nurses tell him. Tell him to listen - sometimes he's got a hard time with that Wink

All my love,

-Jer-
