1. Just maybe, what I thought was fruitcake as a kid was actually not fruitcake,
but possibly something else.

2. Being that it was such a long time ago, I don't really know for sure.

It was likely the real thing. As I've stressed there are good ones and bad ones, but you probably wouldn't want the good ones either from what I've been reading.

Mmmm, I love their fruitcake. When my dad lived in Texas he used to send me one every Christmas. One of the best I've ever had. Lots of flavor and very moist.

I didn't see the Titanic for the same reason Edgar didn't, it sinks. It frigging sinks to the bottom of the sea.........there is something truly awful about a large boat sinking in freezing water with people who can't swim, people who can swim but will freeze in the water, just overall devastation. I can't look at those pictures of the Titanic on the seabed either, it's just overwhelming. ((and yes, I can swim))

It's a big thing here, we have a museum and memorials dedicated to the crew.

It was registered here.

I'd rather we were known for the Spitfire, the plane that won the Battle of Britain, than some posh luxury liner that sunk.

But who am I kidding?

We have cruise liners docking here all the time.

Not a single Spitfire!
