There are two
Frankenstein's monsters
On the A2K pages.
These men hide their sweetness
Under the mask of horror
But we are not deceived.

To Clary and the Scot of UK,
Mary Shelly was known in her day,
As being romantic,
And oft stirring panic,
Among those who like it that way. Very Happy

Now should we make merry? Laughing

For Gautam that Indian guy,
Who's handsome and painfully shy,
Ah, but he's taken,
I feel sooooo forsaken.
An eye roll, a smile, and a sigh.

Happy New Year, you devil. Laughing

Gautam, your photograph beams from the page
Though I've known you a short time, it seems like an age
If it's poetry you're after, you've struck mother lode
Here, someone will write you a verse or an ode.

Shy? SHY?? Painfully SHY???
Letty, Gautam is just not that kind of a guy.

For all here who know him
And all who adore him
He's bouncy, and friendly, and cheerful, and spry.

Gautam, receiving is all very well
But Fiona's feeling left out, couldn't you tell
She'd like a poem from you, tout de suite
Tender, charming, or else, if you must, indiscreet.

Letty wants to make merry, so here's a toast
To all A2K'rs and sweet Letty the host.
It's time to get swinging
With laughter and singing
And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all - that's what I wish the most. Very Happy

McTag is still in the guise
Of that horrible monster that dies;
May he read my last post
On the deep gentle ghost
And replace the foul man with - surprise!

Ah, dear Raggedy:

That dalmatian is cute with his spots,
What's that is his mouth that he's got?
Looks like his security blanket,
Let's bottle and bond it and tank it.

Sheeeze. A limerick is not an ode.
and that's not even a limerick.

(McTag, that painfully shy remark about the Rajah was an attempt at British understatement.)

I stand with our erudite Scotsman, here
And tell you our Gautam is definit'ly dear.
He's friendly, he's fun & not at all shy
G's a suave and a debonair kind of a guy.

But Letty, don't fret, for your words are quite kind!
I love to come read them. They bring me to mind
Of a dearheart, a wonder, someone sublime.
O' how I'd love to meet You sometime!

With best wishes to all who read this for a Wonderful, Healthy and Happy New Year!

Shocked --- Didn't anybody besides Hebba notice my new Avatar? Cool

My girl has gone, she's faded 'way
Instead I have a stone to say
With ballooned cloud in bright blue sky
Proud Callanais again will rise
And take its place with moon & sun.
A golden day has now begun!

Quote:
from http://www.stonepages.com/scotland/callanish.html

The main Calanais or Callanish I circle consists of thirteen Lewisian gneiss stones. In the middle is another stone, the tallest of all (4.75m/15 ft 6 in). Four incomplete avenues lead away, with single rows of stones to the east, south and west, and a double row just east of north. Had all the rows been completed, their axial alignments would have converged at the centre stone....looking south along the line of the stone avenue gives the point at which midsummer full moon sets behind Clisham.

OOooh yes I love your stone(s) Pf, very -mm- hard to read, enduring, but stony hearted. Suitable for you? Or do you just love their otherness and the suggestion of far distant hills?

Clary, don't you think that funny little wisp of cloud looks like a cartoon balloon for the words of the stone?

That stone is thinking, but we can't quite hear it.

It's a Tao thing.

Very Happy

Ms Clary ponders under holly...
Is Ms. Piffka a bit "too" jolly?
Has she been hitting rum or gin
While bringing the new year '04 in?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It's a stone circle, Letty, from the Isle of Lewis. The Isles of Lewis and Harris, btw, are connected: the northern two-thirds (Lewis) and southern third (Harris) of the same island. Scotland geography does funny things like that... lochs, for example, can be salt water or fresh.

Anyway, recognize that "murmuring" stone in the middle?

These are the ancient standing stones of Callanish, Isle of Lewis. There's a few other ancient Celtic sites similar to this (on Lewis), but none are quite so extensive.
