Ode to the Avatar

To hold power is to be alone.

Avatar, the personified diety,
would that I practiced a form of piety...
I'd turn my head to the heavens
and await your appearance
possibly ensued by calamaties.

Divine power would overwhelm
the people of this mundane realm
and they'd resort to measures
of chaos to achieve your helm.

So if indeed you do exist
try to stay hidden within your myst
of heavenly veils.
Endure lonliness for if your mission fails
this material plane would get you pissed
and then things would just get apocalyptic.

Gotta' love this guy. Does he know how to make a grand entrance, or what?

Well, Bosorta, I won't deny that, but I simply did not understand to whom Dickster was dedicating his ode. It was lovely, though.

Letty, by definition avatars are the form that gods take when they leave the heavens... I guess my 'ode to the avatar' is more of a prediction of what would happen if a divine being were to set foot on our Earth, you know... I actually sorta get confused by whatever avatars you other poets are referring to... But, hey... To each their own. I suppose I'm just literal.

Dickster, This was just a fun type thing. I never thought about it as being an incarnation or the like; however, I wasn't aware of that definition.

Symbols, just mere symbols.
