Make it the last time, make it the last time
Make it the last time, oh darling please.

But I don't understand why you always pick the time
When I've just talked to you with your love on my mind.
To see a distant light, to hear a far-off horn
To leave me one more time, I can't stand no more

Say no more, well no more,
Well no more, darling, please.

And every time you leave I make the very same vow
That when you come back I ain't gonna love you no how.
But when you return you look so fine to me
I can't stand no more, my darling, it's just got to be

I said the last time, oh the last time,
Oh the last time, darling, please.

Don't you understand me, don't you understand me ?
Honey, don't you understand my word ?

Well, you told me that you love me, I believed you, darling,
But you lied, you know it's true.
Hold on to my heart, I'll believe it till you're leaving
Then I'll cry.

Oh darling, oh darling,
Oh darling, make up your mind

Oh, I can't stand your loving, honey, it's tearing me apart,
You done got my soul, but now you're after my heart.
Well, don't hurt me, darling, now you know how to do it so well
I just got one consolation, I just wail

It was the last time
It was the last time
It was the last time, darling, please.

When you told me that you love me I believed you, darling,
But you lied, you know it's true.
Hold on to my heart, I'll believe it till you're leaving
Then I'll cry.

Well no more, well no more,
Well no more without you, please!

If you wanna love me, honey, please stay home,
If you don't wanna love me, baby, please stay gone.
Don't you understand me, don't you understand me ?
Don't you understand my words ?

Say no more, oh no more,
Well no more, oh, darling, oh!

You told me that you love me I believed you, darling,
But you lied, you know it's true.
Hold on to my heart, I'll believe it till you're leaving
Then I'll cry, yeah

Peter S. Beagle wove a web
A novel of a hidden truthes

Displaying the vestiges of human nature
Loyalty, friendship, greed and spite

Most of all the one we all should have
the most truest of the true.. Love

Its out about a lovely spring day
Of a unicorn in its glade

Two hunters came and searched for prey,
and finding none called to her

They told her of her existence
that she was of the last

She struck out alone to find
The truth that seemed so false

She happened across a butterfly
Dancing bright and gay

He told her of the same
and then went on his way

She met many on her journey
Upon it she learned fear

She learned faith in friendship
companionship's saving grace

She also learned something that few can not
The strength, and pain that love can wrought.

The courage came and she became
That what she most feared

Through love's strength and duty's pride
She fought the one who had undone

She restored that which was in ruin
And freed that which should never been caged

The end she learned humanity, regret and sorrow
Things before she never could comprehend

And in the pain the beauty of the world
Was graciously restored again

My avatar is the Unicorn, who becomes The Lady Amalthia, The Last Unicorn.

Ahh my dear sweet friends
I am not the first
Nor will I ever be the last
I just am.. and that is the greatest place of all.

The novel I just spoke of, for thoes whom do not know me well, is called The Last Unicorn. In 1980-83 there was an animated production made of the novel, bearing the same title. The Unicorn in my Avatar is from the animated movie. (obviously) It captured my imagination when I was 5. It was the third book I ever read at 7 and today I am eagerly anticipating the Live action, motion picture movie due out in dec 2004. Very Happy Can't you tell i'm excited!

LOL If you want to know more about the movie you can go to www.the-last-unicorn.net. The have the first preliminary tests of Amalthia. Its a great site even though its slow to update, once every 2 months or so.

I dont mean to sound like a comercial but Hey, "I love whom I love...." From Prince Leir, King Haggard's adopted son, From The Last unicorn.

Tee hee hee.. I'm baaaaadd!

Verra verra close My Dear Letty,

That one was called Legend. It had Tim Curry as Darkness and Tom Cruise as Jack, a forest child whom can commune with all animals. He was in love with a princess named Lilly (though i can't remember her name) and she being innocent touched a unicorn that allowed A goblin named Blix to poison him. They ended up cutting off his horn and then Jack, Lilly and a bunch of elves, dwarves and fae folk work to get the alicorn back before the stallion dies, as well as protect the last remaining mare.

Again, another childhood favorite

Letty;

I guess we can all pull up comfy chairs, let our hair down [inspite of the fact I don't have any (sign of verility)], and relax into a gentle stupor approaching "trance state", waiting for you to bring us our tall, cool, limerick(y)s Rolling Eyes Laughing
