@hightor,
As has previously been explained to you, the point is that the scientific method is not conditional on physical location or budget.

Do you really think big pharma and big everything else could survive a culling of over 50% of the population - the intelligent, productive half?

It doesn't matter if they survive or not. The forces driving this are bigger than the profit motive.

Here I got a conspiracy for you to look into: the RW killed mainly the older population off with covid - to steal SS funds!!!

Yesterday's news. David Martin has the goods on this.

No, the scientific method doesn't involve training. Scientific experiments can be done by anyone who can test a falsifiable theory with a repeatable experiment.

Brain surgery can also be done by anyone with the equipment, even with no medical training, however when done by someone with no training, it's unlikely to produce a good result. News flash: Medicine is a deep, complicated subject and someone is unlikely to draw correct conclusions about it with no prior knowledge of it.

@Brandon9000,
Straw man. The point remains that science relating to medicine can be done without an expensive lab and without training, eg a meta-analysis of previous studies.

Which is decidedly not what Kirsch's newsletter does. Here's his description of his publication:

Quote:
I write about COVID vaccine safety and efficacy, corruption, censorship, mandates, masking, and early treatments.

He does not claim to be doing scientific research. He popularizes the work of others and promotes his opinions and those of others who agree with them. This is not "scientific methodology".

It's more than just his opinion. He's made various claims and has issued a challenge to debate those claims (eg "misinformation" on the Joe Rogan Experience).

@Theo202,
It's good to question things. Really, it is.

What isn't good is, perpetually denying the truth, as if no matter what results are given to prove how wrong you are, you'll just keep going, shouting inconsistencies and misinformation.

It's a bad look. And it should not continue.

It is more than his opinion, it's also a his delusion. Really, Rogan? What Rogan's qualifications to do anything?

No, not a straw man argument. You seem to be arguing that science can be done without scientific credentials and that is generally false. I don't care what lab something is done in, but if it's done by someone without training in the field, it's generally of no value, and that includes meta-analyses, which still require knowledge of the field.

It's a straw man because saying that the practice of medicine is a deep, complicated subject is irrelevant to the issue of the essential elements of the scientific method.
