I think we're looking at 50's - 60's decorator painting. The brushwork has sort of a quick but studied folkiness that suggests this was a painting this guy made his living knocking out in multiples. I'd hang it in a lounge bar or rec room or den or in a family room over a fireplace.

It's got to be worth $500-ish. I'd be very surprised if we could nail down anything about the artist.

Yeah. It's also full of so many false clues. It's decorator art. It's meant to be seen and not looked too closely at. The smoke adds to the package. Cleaning would remove character.
