actually, after he docked the pup he chose it looked so cute that Cub changed his mind and had ours docked as well.

As for my tail there's nothing to dock. I suffer from chronic noassatol.

Bear, are you related to Dyslexia, also known for suffering noassatol?

I found this funny site. Enjoy!

I didn't realize dys also suffered from this insidious plague. I would suggest that we form a research foundation but I suspect neither dys nor I are great joiners.

You got that right. Dys joining Diane is about all he can handle this decade.

So yesterday we went to the State Fair. Had a blast. One of the Ag buildings had some sweet li'l puppies. 6 breeds, a few puppies of each breed, on rotation, four at a time. (Two of one breed, two of another, one pair sleeping on display, one pair out playing.) The two puppies they had out were... A beagle and a Brittany spaniel.

Both absolutely adorable. The little beagle was especially winsome. I thought, as always, "That's a great breed, wonder what it would be crossed with to make a dog I'd want." Since I don't want a purebred. Looked at the Brittany. Thought balloons grew over my head, ending up with:

Shocked

I mean, that's a little freaky, don't you think?

(Off to see how long of a drive it would be to Casa Bear...) (What city are you guys in these days?)

Lock him in the closet, run over to the shelter, then bring the little perisher back, and turn EG loose . . . you know he'll cave . . .

REALLY wish I could get a clearer pic. Have some on 35mm that will be developed Monday. They should be better quality. Just using the polaroid for quick snap and load, but what a crappy quality.

Any word on the Speagles? Could someone help Gracie load pictures?

This morning I went to the vet to pick up Iffy's pep pills. (Not many pit bulls are taking meds for low thyroid.) A large litter of beagles arrived for their six week shots and only the shame of being arrested for dognapping restrained me from helping myself.

They are now an average 3 pounds each. Just starting to get a few little teeth and starting to growl, gnaw, wrestling and play.

They still aren't the best on their legs, so an attempt to swat a sibling usually sends the swatter tumbling.

Dot, first born, has the most sassy and persistant personality. Ire, the last boy born that cub has decided to keep, is the most laid back. He's also the runt, weighing in at only 2 pounds 12 oz.

Will have pics developed tonight and will post them for Gracie. She's a very good and proud Mommy, but I think the newness is wearing off. She's actually taking thirty minutes for herself here and there just to lay out in the sun.

Thanks, Squinney. Please give Gracie my best.

One of my best wildlife memories was watching a nursing Mama Bear chow down after a long winter. She emptied the feeders of thistle seed, black oil sunflower seed, song bird mix, cracked corn and suet.

Then she sent the kids up a tree and took a fifteen minute nap in the April sunlight.

Two-feet, four-feet--there are constants in motherhood.

Yes, today one of the pups pissed on the carpet. The joy begins. The whole house smells like Bigfoots dick. Yu bathe them, wash their pad, lysol their box, and thirty minutes later everything smells like piss and ****. Good times. Rolling Eyes

Do you have Puppy Pads? They are easy to clean up and most dogs will use them.

I did buy a small pack to try. Put two in to line the box. They all pee'd and then proceeded to start tearing them up.

So I tried a puppy pad on one side and blanket on the other to distiguish the two areas.

They really seem to like the sound of the plastic when they grab it and thin toss their heads like they are trying to fell prey.

Confused

Can't they just pee and then go to sleep?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

They have been getting less and less attention from Mom and have been crying this morning, so I looked up some info and decided to see if they would eat some dry puppy food drenched in warm water.

OMG! They sounded like pigglets! Dot was actually snorting and had the audacity to growl at her brother when there was plenty to go around. (She's such a brat. I think she's my favorite if i HAD to choose.)

Gee, gotta go pick up the pics to show how they have grown. Forgot all about that.

Glad for the update.

Dot sounds as though she was born liberated--5000 years ago she'd have been the Alpha Bitch Wolf.

Does that mean that one more puppy will get to remain in the bear household?
