And, the last one...

Well, I was hoping it would show up better, but Gracie is a lemon blue tick beagle. Her brown is a lighter color than the usual reddish brown, being more blond.

Gus is a reddish brown on white with a little bit of reddish ticking.

The puppies ended up with blue ticking in some places, and blond ticking on others. Most of the blond ticking is on their feet, as you can kind of see in this pic. And the blue is on their bellies.

Adorable. Just adorable.

Thank you for showing the toe nails. I have no business catching Adoption Fever this year or next.

Between Ire, Dot and Rory I wouldn't be able to choose except that I really don't want to deal with any more "heats."

I think fixing the boy is cheaper than the girls, so that figures in too.

Personality wise, yeah, daughter and I have a special place in our hearts for the feisty, take no crap, overly confident for her size Dot.

Daughter and I have "girl time" and watch Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. Gracie knows as soon as we disappear that she will find us on the master bed watching tv and sharing a treat. She has always joined us for girl time. Daughter brought up how cute it would be if we kept a girl so we could have two sets of mother /daughters for Tuesday nights.

But, since it is supposed to be boy cubs dog, I'm not sure he would appreciate us commandeering.

Squinney--

When I pick up the toenail clippers, the Family Dog speed dials the SPCA.

My canine manicures are a bloody business.

I don't do cats, well, either.

Declaw? Never. At least not on purpose.

Waaah! I want one of those sweet-smelling puppies, but Maddy and Dolly are looking really shocked that I'm not satisfied with the two of them.

Here's Baby Blue (new name Angel based on name given by guy that wants her) But don't let the new name fool you. She is the smallest at the moment, but has become quite outgoing. She had just finished practicing her "pounce" on the stuffed animal in the pic. I think she has it down!

Adorable--even if the wire fencing suggests a concentration camp.

Still, sensitive noses are sensitive noses.

How's Gracie doing?

So, we put up a little temporary outside play area using $2 plastic posts and some rolled wire fencing. They love it outside, and usually make a lot of racket around 5:30 in the morning for me to come downstairs and let them go out to play.

BUT, by the second day, Rory and Ire had learned to climb the fence to the area with wider spaces and fall through to "escape" into the bigger yard. They have perfected it now and can be out before I get back to the pen with a second batch of pups.

Ire is always alone and the big explorer. He also always looks stoned, so I have renamed him Stoner the Loner. He's cool.
