what is narrow money ?

i got a definition :

Narrow Money

Another term for M1, the category of the money supply that includes all physical money like coins and currency. It also includes demand deposits, which include checking accounts and NOW accounts.

do u understand anything from it ? i dont. its complex. can anybody tell me in a simple way (with example) ? i want to understand this thing .

another question :

"a major feature of successful business in the past decade is parcelling out the components for production at the cheaptest cost worldwide"

i am completely in dark. i failed to understand this statement . will you help me to unravel the meaning of this ? what does they want to mean by parcelling out components ? plz tell me an example.

any kind of help is highly appreciated .

thank you
