That's curious. Tacoma, just south of here, isn't stressful? Well, it's possible, though I'd love to hear the methodology used to compile that list...

Uh, actually I made up the list as I went along. The places listed are locations where I have spent at least a months time and have found things to always run smoothly. For the record you can find the most stressful and least stressful cities listed on the internet including this one at Bestplaces.net click on the appropriate buttons and also find information on city navigability and costs among other things. The bad news? They list Tacoma as MOST stressful (well it's bad news for my list Sad )

I think they should compare the rate for alcoholism in those towns.

One of the web sites mentioned above indicates that alcohol use is one of the factors looked at in making the list...

Providence definitely isn't one of them. I can definitely agree to Portland though, I lived there for 5 years while I was in college and it really is laid back! Smile

#100 Albany-Schenectady-Troy, NY is the least
stressful city. Yeah, even suicide is redundant there....

No-Stress Santa Fe????
Santa Fe is one of the most stressful places on earth. Trust me--I've lived here for 15 years and 1 day. And let's not even talk about the alcoholism or rate of drug addiction. Excise it from any list of stress-free places immediately!!!
