This is a silly argument. It plays well to the partisan crowd, but doesn't really make sense.

If isn't bait. It is just MSNBC pandering to its audience.

This video is interesting as an example of political propaganda

If you didn't the basic argument being made by the video is that Republicans are against "defunding the police" accept for the IRS.

- They portray the Republicans as pro harsh informcement with a bunch of clips on stop and frisk and "mass incarceration".

- They the connect this the IRS and the number of tax audits.

- They make a couple of outrageous accusations about Republican intent including saying that "Republians want rich people to be able to cheat on their taxes" and "Republicans want to make sure that only certain people can vote".

- They connect these accusations with Trump and make broad insults of the Republian party.

Of course this political propaganda is logically bogus.

1) There is no connection between the effort to stop violent crime, and the effort to stop tax fraud. You can easily be in favor of one while being against the other. These are two completely different issues.

2) They are grouping together "Republicans" together, and then peicing together horrible sounding snippets to represent the group. The idea that Republicans in general support tax fraud is a little prepostrous.

3) This video is designed to titellate the far-left. It is political foreplay. Attacking rich people is a nibble on the neck. Mentioning stop and frisk is a carress on the breast. Tying it all to Trump consumates the narrative.

It is not a logical argument.... this video is the equivalent of ideological porn; the most basic of plots with all of the positions that bring liberals to an excited climax.
