It's more likely that social behavior among humans hasn't changed that much over the past 3,000 years. I'm sure there have been countless chiefs, bosses, monarchs, emperors, presidents, and emperors who have ruled in a childish manner and sent their obedient subjects and blind supporters down the wrong road.
