Well, it should have been obvious a long time ago that Biden wasn't up for the task of both running for re election, or hanging in there for another four years, and the fact that there's now a mad scramble to find his replacement, tells me all that I need to know about the party he supposedly represents.

Harris certainly isn't going to be either a threat to Trump's chances, nor a viable leader for the nation, or party.

It's really that simple.

Trump was already ahead of Biden in all of the key states, and nothing has changed there at all.

Personally, I'd rather see some fresh, younger faces on the hustings.

Most people have retired by their age.

After working in the presidential office and presiding over the Senate for four years she certainly has more experience than Trump did in 2016, probably has a better understanding of Washington institutions than Trump currently has, and obviously has a more disciplined mind than Trump ever had.

After watching her initial speech as stand-in prez, she did quite a stand-up routine that was a crowd-pleaser.

She would have been better off to not attack her opponent so openly at this stage, but division and hatred appears to be the flavour of the day in your political and popularity gigs there lately.

It was obvious not all of the crowd were barracking for her, but she ignored that.
