How can we possibly "secure" a national mail in vote election?

This sort of imbecilic smoke screening surrounding elections used to be the preserve of 3rd world countries ..... Which of course in social/fiscal realities, is what the USA now much represents.

Why do people like Trump and the GOP not want nor like postal ballots? Because the people who use them are highly likely not to vote for Trump or the GOP. It si that simple.

In order to cheat in a meaningful way, you have to have millions of fraudulent votes all for the same guy. A few here and there aren't going to change anything.

We've been mail-in voting since he civil war. there are in fact a number of safeguards developed over the years to make it more secure.

th ere have been safeguards and checks in place to make it secure for years improving as the tech gets better. It's scaaling up what is already in place and secure.

how about a handful of folks (left or right), poor some lighter fluid in a handful of mailboxes and drop a match....do it every night around several cities or suburbs.........easy to do and low risk of getting caught.

With an absentee ballot, you have to fill out paperwork to get it and one ballot goes straight to you. This, on the other hand, would involve generally available blank ballots, which is quite another matter. What stops someone from sending in or inserting ballots from non-existent people or non-citizen residents? I don't want a voting system which invites a Pandora's box of cheating.
