A method that some people have tried is to start a Part 2 thread. Not sure if that also manages to lock the original thread from getting more posts (although I think it would be wise).
Seen this issue a few times, sometimes it's so danged frustrating that my blood near to boils!
Contact the contact button, maybe that can do something. On another board years ago, they would 'trim' anthrax a thread in this sort of scenario. Maybe similar could happen here....

Why not just start a new thread? It's more site friendly and you can still voice the same opinions that have been regurgitated thousands of times already.

I know how to have a thread shut down.... especially with Edgar's help (I don't know if I could do it alone). Edgar and I have already done it several times.
You might want to add the link to the older topic to the first post of the new topic.
