This thread is for any documentation, news, or reference material about Covid-19.

It could be a news item about the location of testing centers, or about New York sending respirators to another country, or just a video of police enforcing lockdown in India.

Here is an extremely clear video about the process of developing vaccines. If you watch this for even 10 minutes, you will probably learn something.

@Brandon9000,
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB) have shown 100% effective palliative action and lethality decrease on covid-19. ARBs include BP meds like Quinapril (Accupril). Dont know the pathway it employs, but several agencies worldwide have been approved for rapid clinical testing. Another candidate is class of heart meds called ACE inhibitors (specifically this is Recombinant ACE-2) several research institutions including Stanford, Hopkins, and Jefferson Med College are the institutions in the US Despite our fucked up leadership .

a) Covid 19 has spread to mink in Denmark mink farms.

b) A mutated strain has emerged in the Denmark mink population that is resistant to the vaccines that are being developed.

c) This mutated strain easily passes from mink back to humans.

d) Denmark has ordered the eradication of their entire mink population.

@oralloy,
The role of minks in the infection process has been under discussion already since May. (At that time, an employee of a mink farm in the Netherlands was infected by the fur animals.)

The Danish health institute SSI reported on Friday that the mutated pathogen was detected in 214 people. 200 cases occurred in Northern Jutland alone. This region is particularly rich in mink farms.
Nationwide, Sars-CoV-2 has already been found in 216 breeding farms.

@Walter Hinteler,
To date, six countries, namely Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Italy and the United States of America have reported SARS-CoV-2 in farmed minks to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
According to a WHO report, only the Danish mutation is of concern.
