Never really got it resolved.

Robert pretty much indicated he would rather I not be here, so I've packed it up, but I still check in regularly to see what the regulars are saying about things. Just thought I'd say hello to this group, since it is dealing with a subject that mattered to me back then.

wow, I wonder what you could have said to get that kind of reaction? I think I am ignored, so, I don't know if I would be kind of puffed up to get that kind of personal reaction even if it is negative.

But then I only know from one thread which has long been abandoned and we two I think were only ones who wasn't against spying in general.

I get that, but if it was just occasionally, perhaps it wouldn't have been so annoying. But every single post he had that insult or more of the same. So, I and probably a lot of others just downvoted him as a matter of course after a while.

We haven't. I only meant I get ignored by the moderators. I haven't ever had any kind of interaction with them.

I cannot imagine anyone here leaving because of what anyone says...and definitely not because of what I have posted.

In the time since you left, the site has gotten way more tribal, on all sides and not just divided between the left and the right. Kind of like the rest of the country right now.

People are different and their posting styles show it. I personally think that if you get aggressive as a matter of style but do not descend down into insult and name-calling with no substance, you can't be any worse than anything I have seen. There are several posters who are a bit abrasive, but they usually have something else to offer along with it, it is just who they are.

It is the insults and name-calling and degrading all (everyone) those who do not think like you (anyone) do (putting them in a box) that I think is just meaningless. We all do it but hopefully, we become aware of it and try to stop ourselves from it. Right now most of the most intense fights are those within the left side of the political debates.

I don't believe that it is true that people left because of you. And why should that be your concern even if it was true?

I enjoy interacting with you. If you and layman came back, it would be a great improvement for this site.
