It's very similar to rounders, which is what we play at primary school then suddenly stop when we reach 11.

Is a single point, (run) when the batter runs to first base or does it only count when they reach fourth? Is a home run one point, four points, or an even higher figure because it's a top rate performance?

A point (called a "run") only counts if they reach fourth (called "Home" or "Home plate"). It's a single run.

My new team name: Trespatines

Trespatines was a character in a Cuban radio comedy of the 1940's. A city rascal, a funny rogue. It was a court comedy, with the corrupt judge, his outspoken secretary, a naive Galician, a fightin' black woman and Trespatines.

I used to hear the program, "La Tremenda Corte", every day after school, with my dad driving me to Little League practices (man, we practiced every week day and played every Saturday and Sunday, all year long).

So Trespatines somehow translates to fond childhood and baseball memories.
