What is Angela Merkel called, "Ms. Chancellor?" Mrs.? Madam? Frau?
Merkel is the German chancellor, not our president.
Her nickname is Mutti (something like "Mommy")

Officially she's called Frau Bundeskanzlerin (the feminine gender of "federal chancellor") or "Frau Dr. Merkel".

Oh, I didn't know she was a Dr., but 'Frau' answers my question about the German way of addressing her.

In English do you know if she's called Ms., Mrs., or Madam?

She got a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) for her thesis on quantum chemistry.

I have no idea - in German, the holder of the office of the Federal Chancellor is either "Frau Bundeskanzlerin" (if female) or "Herr Bundeskanzler" (male).

I know there is Frau and Fraulein in German, but does Frau specify that a woman is married or is it a general term for any adult woman? In English there is Ms. and Mrs. depending on whether she's married, and I think Madam might be a general term that doesn't specify marital status, but I'm not sure.

I think "Madam President" or "Madam Chancellor" sounds right, but then there could be other ways of addressing males, such as "Sir President," but Mr. is easy because it is a general term used for any male regardless of marital status.

@livinglava,
"Fräulein" is archaic (officially not used since 1970).

If you used it today, it's either sexist or within a family for a very young girl, when you "grumble kindly"

Oh, thanks for that. I think it is used in a lot of movies, probably for historical reasons now that you mention it.

I think Miss might also be avoided for similar reasons in English, though I'm not sure.

Ms. (Miss) is used for married or unmarried women (both our married friends insist on 'Miss', one a teacher, the other an architect/engineer)

Why should Trump have all the fun? Shouldn't we give some time to "Stink finger Joe"?

Again, it is not fair, and highly partisan just making up names for Trump. "**** for brains Biden" is probably addled enough to agree.
