I was looking up things about hell.I really belive there is a hell.
http://www.av1611.org/hell.html
First of all, in the book of Genesis, Adam was not given a soul - he became a soul. He and his wife were given the possibility of everlasting life. The stated punishment for disobedience was death. If there were to be a punishment worse than death, would it not have been fair for a merciful God to warn them of it? Ezekiel reminds us in chapter 18 that the soul can die. Solomon assures us in Chapter 9 of Ecclesiastes that the dead are unconscious.
Do you think it fair that a finite sin could merit eternal damnation?
Sometimes when I eat a apple I think maybe I shouldnt eat this apple because of what God said. .
jenniejen wrote:Sometimes when I eat a apple I think maybe I shouldnt eat this apple because of what God said. .
This is why I hate religions. They give otherwise sane people these crazy ideas. God does not want you to stop eating apples.
I dont think its fair but it is what God decides. What do you think about all the things Jesus talked about. Didnt he go to hell before he was resurrected? Didn't he talk about hell many times. Right on the mark, Jen!
She should of never ate that apple. Jen, er, um, minor detail, but it's not listed as an apple, merely as some sort of fruit. But you're right, she shouldn't have.
Maybe since people keep sinning God will have more punishments for us because we never learned. No, Jen; that's the faulty, unscriptural concept of Purgatory. Jesus died to cover ALL sins; if we are IN HIM, then we no longer receive punishment (tho HEBREWS 12: 6-8 tells us that He will at times have to train us, if we refuse to cooperate: "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" But that's not punishment; it's a "bone brace" for the "rickets" still left in our soul from our old {pre-regenerate} nature).
"Holy water" doesn't do anything, Jen; that's superstition, not biblical truth. The devil won't touch you if you're in Christ. He's more interested in those who voluntarily fall for His tricks by running after such teachings as the occult/New Age, etc.

LOL.
Oh, nice Signuture.
There is a place called hell though, right. Yes, unfortunately, there is, but it doesn't have to be our ultimate destination if we give our total trust and allegiance to Jesus Christ who died on the Cross. I'm not talking about religion, or church membership, or rituals: I'm talking about giving your whole being----body, soul, mind----to Him forever. It starts with a person confessing to God their sin nature and the fact that they have committed numerous sins; then, you ask for forgiveness and the new nature (which replaces the old sin nature). Then you follow Him as LORD (meaning His Word alone is your ultimate guide/authority to truth/reality/spiritual issues) and as Savior (meaning you don't put your confidence in your own works, or in church rituals or membership---or in any person/group). To grow in the new nature and the new mind, you become thoroughly versed in His WORD, and you fellowship regularly with a congregation that's solidly rooted in the WORD. This, in a nutshell, is the essence of truly becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.
What do you think about the book of life? It's mentioned in REVELATION; it's where the names are listed of all those who will have eternal life.
You dont belive in purgatory? Nope. It's not taught ANYWHERE in Scripture, and our ONLY sure source for spiritual truth is Scripture. Think about Jesus Himself: whenever He debated the Pharisees as well as when He resisted Satan, He ALWAYS referred Scripture. Numerous times he condemned using the traditions of men as the yardstick for spiritual accuracy.
Why didnt God just kill the devil? I don't know, Jen. The Bible talks about the "secret things of the LORD," vs. those which He has granted us to know (thru His WORD). The answer to your question is one of the "secret things of the LORD."
He should of disposed of him. Yup, I think so, too, but we're not God, we don't understand His ways. Remember what the WORD tells us: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9) "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!" (ROMANS 11:33)
Someone told me Jeses is comming again.When-How? Here's what Jesus Himself said about that: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but the Father only" (Matt. 24: 36).
This lady told me when he comes everyone will see him at the same time. "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him" (REVELATION 1:7) and also Jesus Himself says, "Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven". (Matthew 26:64)
I think he might look like Bin Ladden and his people maybe and people might be mean to him. Jen, when He comes back, those who rejected Him will be terrifiedly scurrying for cover. "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, 'Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?' " (REVELATION 6:15-17) "whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 THESSALONIANS 2:8ff)
Muslims think he was just a profit Sad to say, they are deceived. What does Jesus Himself say? " 'He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?' And Simon Peter answered and said, 'Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.' And Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.' " In another passage, He tells us, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." (JOHN 6:44)[/quot
Thanks for explainning. That was really good.I think people should believe it just to save there selfs. There is nothing else out there for man but God. I really do believe, but for everyone else who doesn't believe in God they should just belive in God because there is nothing else.
Oh and Bella, Thanks. It is really funny.
Oh and Chia I do not hear voices. Just that one time when i was half a sleep. Or maybe I was sleeping.Who knows. When I was looking into the waves of fire, and I had to look really hard. I seen a womens face like spirit screaming no.( Heres a secret. )I use to smoke trees a long time ago. When I was 20 and I'm 28 now. When I seen the ghost that time I just finished smoking trees. I hope noone thinks I'm a bad person now but maybe thats why I seen that ghost.
Noone is perfect
Man wrote the bible.
Man wrote it based on stories Jesus told.
If Jesus was to show up right now, would you go to him and believe in him then. Just wondering.
Bella Dea wrote:Man wrote it based on stories Jesus told.

My view is the same as Bella's.
And to answer you question, no, I would not.
If Jesus were to appear before me right this instant, and tell me that I would be going to hell because I didn't believe in him, I'd say "okay." Because I've come to terms with the fact that I dont' believe in God, a God, or any form of higher power. I simply don't feel it in my heart. I truly do believe that if there were such a thing, God would rather me deny him and be truthful to my heart than to follow him without any devotion or sincerity.
I am not going to live my life believing in something out of fear.
What do you mean, you used to smoke trees?
do mean you personally smoked parts of trees like a cigarette, or set them on fire and made them smoke?
Its slang, if you dont get it just forget about it.
Also - what, in your opinion is the difference between a dream and a vision - you said you might have been asleep when you saw a woman in flames.
I ment I was really tired laying on my bed and I could of dozed off quick.
It felt like my eyes went blank, like maybe as soon as I shut them I had a vision. I dont know really what the heck happened.
So what?
(and PLEASE don't take that as me being ornrey - that S. guy just really got my goat with his rudeness, 'nuff said)
I think maybe people dont understand you like you dont understand them.
Seriously - So what? People have dreams of an infinite variety - what differentiates between a dream and a vision?
A vision you can have while awake. You can just be standing there and blank out or whatever happens. A dream is when you are sleeping underneath your covers, tucked in and snoring.ZZZZZZZZ
I dreamt once that I killed someone close to me - to put them out of their misery because the dream involved a terrible accident.
Did I think it meant I would really kill her, or that there as going to be an accident?
I hope not.
No - Although it disturbed me - My interpretation was that I cared so much about her - I didn't want to see her suffer.
I think everone has nightmares at one time or another.
So - If you were sleeping - and it was a dream - can you think of any other meanings besides that it was hell?
I will look it up for you on the dream dictionary. Here is the definition.
Hell
To dream of hell, denotes that you may be suffering from a seemingly inescapable situation. You may have placed your decision or course of action into someone else's hand. Alternatively, you may be possessing many inner fears and repressed guilty feelings. It is time to quit punishing yourself and take it easy for awhile.
I could not say for sure what you saw or think you saw - but....(again, I'm saying this with no malice, just an observation) you seem pretty impressionable to me. Also - I'm not always clear on what you're talking about - like the smoking trees thing, or about killing the devil with holy water.
I guess you dont know about Calthic people.Did you ever hear storys or watch movies about vampirs? People thew holy water on them and they started to burn and left you alone. It was a joke. The holy water is suppose to be holy.
Don't you know the devil IS an angel?
Yeah I know that. He was an angel casted out of heaven.
Oh - totally off the subject - but that reminded me.
It is SO annoying when people say things like "oh he died and now he's and angel"
God made angels. Angels are Angels. If there are going to be more angels - God would make them
People DO NOT turn into angels when they die.
I know that. People are people and angels are angels. When we die we are more saperior than angels. God made them to serve and watch/guard us.
That's as bad as when at xmas time people say "peace on earth, good will to men"
The actual words are more like "Peace on earth to men OF good will"
that an entirely different thing. Peace comes at the price of having good will - it's not an automatic.
Again - say what you mean, mean what you say - don't give half a story about visions - what's the whole enchilada?
Some of what you say is all mixed up like that. It's as if you've heard a lot of different stories - and got them all confused.
I think maybe you are confused, You should go back and read my thread word for word. Also I earsed my vision post because someone said you should not describe Hell.
I was reading a book once and this woman asked me what it was about. It was a pretty complex story, so I thought for a moment and replied "Immigrants".
She didn't say anything for a moment, then said "Oh, like aliens"
"Yes, exactly" I replied because here in texas everyone can relate to illegal aliens.
She then went on to say "well, I don't care, they're from the devil. Someone in my bible class told me they're evil and of the devil"
Now it was my turn to be silent - I'm thinking - you believe someone here because they crossed the border is evil?!!!
Then she concluded with "I don't care if they're from Mars or Venus or anyplace else. They're Evil.
Sorry to offend, and I'm sure I am, but you sound a lot like that women. Not quite getting the entire picture.
