Is the United States heading toward Fascism?

Reflecting on that time, The American Heritage Dictionary (Houghton Mifflin Company, 1983) left us this definition of the form of government the German democracy had become through Hitler's close alliance with the largest German corporations and his policy of
using war as a tool to keep power: "fas-cism (fbsh'iz'em) n. A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."

Frank - perhaps you saw vietnamnurse telling of a protest sign she saw at the Capital last weekend? "Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing its idiot". I don't feel confident that "this too shall pass". I am sure that many Germans felt the same as all was lost beyond their citizenry being able to turn the course on their own.

Thanks BBB for a good topic. To answer: yes, I believe that the US has allowed an "anti-christ" to take control. Heck, even traditional Bible passages in numerous places discuss the avenging warrior smiting away, bringing fire down upon pagan lands. The insidious thing about an antichrist is that 'he' is first not recognized as other than a savior.
