An organisation of Iraqi warvictims have brought a complaint before the Belgian court. They acuse Bush Sr and three other(Powell, Cheney and Schwarzkopf) of crimes of international law. They find the former president of the USA guilty for some facts in the last Gulf war.
The complaint is based on the genocide law(
Sharon, Arafat, Saddam and Castro already were sued based on the same law) and deals with the bombings in the night of the 12 february 1991. That night US bombers bombed an air raid shelter in Bagdad. 403 civilians were reported to have died.

The court has now to decide if they accept the complaint or not.
That complaint has about as much prospect of success as the Iranian suit for reparations stemming from the US attack on Iranian Oil Platforms which fired missiles at Coalition ships during "The Tanker Wsar". That "Shelter" was a command node, and Saddam committed a warcrime by allowing, or more likely requiring, civilians to occupy it at night. Something few folks notice in the photos of the carnage are the broken and twisted 8" diameter conduits stuffed with hundreds of pairs of phone and data lines ... no shelter needs, or has, that sort of communications capability.
Don't know where you dug that up, Timber, but it's signficant.
I can't give you a link, roger, but, being a communications professional, I noticed that right away in the photos at the time. I've done work in TV stations and telco central offices that didn't have that many line pairs.
