@oralloy,
No iits an abuse of power when it's done for personal gain and in an attempt to nobble an election rather than doing it for the national interest.

The abuse of power belongs to the House and the MSM, not Trump.

@coldjoint,
Obama was pretty even handed. That's what pi5sses you off. His agencies gave people who had gotten shafted for decades a more equal voice and you uber rightists couldn't stand it.

If it is an abuse for Trump to try to investigate the Bidens for personal gain, then it is likewise an abuse for the Democrats to investigate Trump for personal gain.

How do you figure?

Biden was acting on behalf of the US government for an end that the government and other countries and international organizations wanted.

So it's OK to do it when it is for a goal that the left agrees with, but a horrible crime to do it when it is for a goal that the left dislikes?

It isn't about left/right, it's about propriety and abuse of power for personal gain.

Wanted his crackhead son to make millions and his brother to get a huge contract in Iraq?

Wanted Ukraine to reign in their corrupt PG.

Bullshit. But go ahead and believe it, if you wish. Too much information out there showing Biden is corrupt.

Take out the truth and it is a zero. Biden is corrupt and your posts are redundant. Their value is also 0.

Democrats are not above the law. What's an abuse of power if Mr. Trump does it, is also an abuse of power if Democrats do it.

Strangely the issue of "propriety and personal gain" seems to depend entirely on whether the left agrees with the goal of the investigation.

That means that this impeachment circus is an abuse of power by Democrats.

There is no proof however that Mr. Trump's attempt to have the Bidens investigated was for personal gain.

Republicans should go strongly negative with attack ads against any pro-impeachment Democrat in a conservative congressional district. Congressmen who abuse their power should be voted out of office.

If Republicans get a majority in the House again after the 2020 election, they can use the power of the majority to expel any witch hunters who were not already voted out of office.

Why not believe it? Taking as a given your claim that Biden is corrupt, what does that have to do with reining in Ukraine's corrupt PG that other countries and entities also wanted?

How are Democrats abusing power?

Gee that sounds exactly like the way the 8gop feels about all the partisan investigations they've been running.

Of course when dems win the house Senate and presidency in 2020 none of that will happen.

Are you an American? If you are, you know that will never happen. You're more likely to be hit by lightning while simultaneously being hit by a train and attacked by a velociraptor.

The markets are saying the probability of this is about 27%. It isn't probable, but at those odds I would be looking for velociraptor proof pants just in case.

Not much chance of that.

And if pro-impeachment Democrats in conservative districts are defeated, that could put the House back under Republican control. Thus my advice regarding strongly-negative attack ads in these districts.
