i'm trying to get a gov job as a "statistical analyst" in my state, and I"m up for the civil service exam next week.
besides doing practice exams, how should I do it? I know i"m going to do a bunch of practice on the grammer, spelling, reading comp, and analogies, and the basic arithemtic.
now for my position, will they test me in statistics? how far will they go? also, do I need to worry about the clerical stuff such as typing, recognition and all that stuff?
any tips guys? I really want to get this
Hey semidevil!
I'm sure you'll do a very fine job on the Civil Service Exam. Mrpublicservant offers some great advice. It was many years ago that I took the Federal Civil Service Exam and in all honesty found it way too easy and scored a 98% overall. I have no idea how it may be now. It could be more difficult or not. ::shrug::
In any case, just keep your confidence up and head into it with an open mind and a "can do" attitude and I'm sure you'll be fine.
Good luck with your future career!
