I have my ideas about what this really means, but I would like to, rather than express them now, ask you dear A2Kers, "What you think?" .

Let's see, hmmmmm!!!!!! Interesting bit of sloganeering. Reminds me of the the new book by Harry G. Frankfort, "On Bullshit!". The author has been on Jon Stewarts' "The Daily Show" as well as "Sixty minutes"

So what do you think, we nuke NYC, Wash DC and LA in a preemptive move to take out posible terrorist targets denying them the opportunity to strike first. Yeah thats it, we can nuke ourselves in order to save ourselves. We can show those bloody bastards just how serious we are.

Pretty vague, that msnbc story. It basically just says that the Pentagon is changing its strategy. Doesn't really say what the new strategy is. (I, for one, still don't know for sure what the old strategy was, if there was one.)

didn't "the pinko liberal, hate america first, saddam loving, demokkkrats", oh, and "hawwleeee-woooouddd" predict this would happen in early 2003 ?

Quote:
Much of the discussion has focused on how to deal with the rise of a new generation of terrorists, schooled in Iraq over the past couple years. Top government officials are increasingly turning their attention to anticipate what one called "the bleed out" of hundreds or thousands of Iraq-trained jihadists back to their home countries throughout the Middle East and Western Europe. "It's a new piece of a new equation," a former senior Bush administration official said. "If you don't know who they are in Iraq, how are you going to locate them in Istanbul or London?"

i could swear that just about everybody left of extreme right mentioned it.

I say we twist one up, get to the bottom of the Cuervo, a few cold Bud chasers, and put Dr. Strangelove in the old dvd.....

Oh freeduck, sweetie, we promise not to have any smoked duck, although it is quite a delicacy. No, this smoke can be quite pleasant even if you don't inhale...
