My friend had another baby girl this morning.Beaming hubby is gona collect them later today.
I remember her saying she wanted to continue the flower theme(her other daighter is called Jasmine)with the name.
Can you suggest any names?
Ive come up with-
Spiderwort
Bladder senna
Bugloss
grass
Whortleberry.
Like a flower, this child came out of the bud in her own good time.
Retro names are "in". How about Lavender?
Ooh, that name reminded me another flower, how about Violet.
I think they should go for something simple. Like Lily, Rose or Daisy.
Or maybe something exotic sounding like Acacia. (Ah-kay-sha)
There's also Rose, Ginger and Cannibus.
Cannibus Hemp would be a cool name. Or how about those lovely flowering Poppies?
Yeah, name her Poppy.
Frighteningly coincidently another friend suggested Rose and Lily.
I replied saying if the 2 daughters are called Lily and Jasmine I am going to get them confused with my brothers cats of the same names.
Again spookily, I suggested Poppy, I like a name with an Opium connection.
Acacia-The husbands daughter(previous relationship)is called Alisha so maybe a bit too similar sounding.
Other suggestions have been Dandelion and Narcisuss.
I luuurve Narcissus, tho Im sure she will be picked on with a name like that.
Grrr, just mada card for them, wrote out the message and got a splodge of pen all over the envelope.Grrr at my own messyness.
She could name her after Paula Yates daughter (ex wife) of Bob Geldof
Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily, but of course she would have to be as mental as Paule Yates to do so.
You can't call a girl Narcissus - that's a boy's name! And not a very inspiring boy either; he was a very pretty boy in ancient Greek legend who caught sight of his reflection in a forest pool, fell in love with it, tried to kiss it, fell in the pool and drowned! (Which is where we get the words narcissist and narcissism.)
There is a female form of the name; Narcissa.
So, by now the new bundle is surely planted at home. What name did she recieve?
(crossing fingers for Cannibus)
I held her on Sunday, at the time she was still nameless. Her little finger nail was about 2mm across!!Il keep you posted re name.
Little baby is now called Chelsey.
I hate that name. I would have like Cannibus better.
Well we have the Chelsea flower show hehe... but that's just cos it's held in Chelsea, UK
Oh my God!I never realised the connection with the Chelsea flower show!!Il have to point it out to her parents tonight.
Hmm, its a name i didnt think they would go for but Im warming to it.
