Good idea Francis!
The question now is: when?

For Barcelona, I'm ready any time!
I can't go in fall. You have to plan without me
Barcelon's great but what about Italy, you can drink far better coffee there!
I'm thinking about Greece but after the spell of heat we've had over these last few days even that idea does not sound so attractive!
I'd go to Italy too!
Actually, while I was there last year, I did look at real estate
there.....
An old villa in northern Italy is quite tempting as well.
Greece? No, I don't think so!
Oh, you're from Stuttgart?
What about London? I know the weather is infamously horrid, but it does have other things to offer. Or does everyone think it's overrated?
Weather does matter, and food too.
I wouldn't go to London!
We a bunch of A2Kers met in London May 1st.
But only for a weekend, you wouldn't want to live there,
do you?
That's quite expensive and a little cloudy for my taste..
Well, I need lots of sunshine too. I thought Paris was expensive, or is it just Disney Europe?
Let's stick with Barcelona.
A friend has suggested I move to Ortigia... city in Sicily with much beauty, of course good food, and apparently a fair sized art community. Housing is quite a bit less that in many other places..
I think I have some links and I know I have some of her photos, back in a minute.

These are websites I got by checking google. I'd better ask my friend before I post any of her own photos though.
edit - the site with the best photo doesn't work, I'll try again.
edit - tried again, no luck.
Beautiful scenery osso, but I couldn't take the heat
in Sicily. Northern Italy is so much better for my taste.
I could retire to a little Toscan village.....
Bratislava, but of course. Smack inbetween Vienna, Budapest and Prague, yet much smaller and quainter. The Pearl on the Danube, where many accomplished maidens originate from.
Eh, just felt the need to fulfill my patriotic duty and promote my fair city. And also the need to avoid work I should be doing instead...
OK, finally found a better one. Ortigia is the island that I gather is the old town part of Siracusa.

I could retire to a little Tuscan village too but unless I win the lottery, I can't actually do it.
