BTW, aren't tax cuts virtually the same as all government spending when it's given to the extremely wealthy leaving enough for the average person to buy a six pack of coke a week? They were probably hoped nobody would notice when they get shifted into the minimum tax qualification where it will become a tax hike for many Americans.

Light, I never approved of Bushie's tax cut plan that extends over a ten year period. Nobody can predict our economy that far ahead, not even god. The only fair tax cut plan is to provide a flat tax to everybody's earnings. Forget about the current tax code that nobody can possibly interpret correctly: fifty tax experts preparing the same tax return will come up with 50 different tax liabilities. Everybody knows it's a freken mess, but no administration or congress is brave enough to solve this problem. You can't blame the tax code on GWBushie. c.i.

I'm not saying the tax code and the lack of change is his fault (although there could be a case in point there), but I am saying that the intent to fool the tax payers is there and it succeeded with many Americans. The consequences of the cut are many and nobody has proven that supply side economics actually is a driving force. Tax cuts are presented as a politician's panacea for economic ills and they look more like a placebo when instituted in the way they were constructed.

A comment from the middle class Republican I get is that they put in the money they deserve it back. I then reply with the fact is skewed to the rich, the reply being that maybe one day I will be rich.

The point is that this tax cut put the rich is a further, more hard to reach tax haven. The winners of the 1990's prosperity boom was the rich, now there is icing on the cake. There has never been a more one side government entity than the current one. I can not for the life of me figure out how their lies are believed. Has the Democratic contingents been compromised? Is it truly only a one party government? I begin to wonder!

The forefathers feared a two-party system -- I'm wondering if they are rolling over the their graves.
