well....the name is similar...means a pointy mountain in latin i am told. but i suspect you got the right mansion in mind. Montacute it is.

Though another romantic drama was shot there - Sense and Sensibility...the one with Hugh Grant and Ema Thompson.

This hedge is according to the Montacute gardenere misshapen by a heavy snow that fell one winter:
