Don't tell me it's in Colorado where nakedness is a crime
There are some Alps in the Czech Republic. They also have plenty of ski resorts. But it's not there.
CJ, I have totally factually been working in the area of one of the bigger Colorado ski resorts, some years back. What a cool place. Biggest surprise was a meter of snow that appeared overnight - late in September. Crazy.
I didn't know about the nakedness-crime link back then, though.
But it's not there, either.
Yes, Colorado is breathtakingly beautiful. I've been up to the Rockies and
Estes Park, and saw the lodge where "The Shinning" with Jack Nicholson
was filmed. Quite remarkable.
So, Europe would be too easy, how about Australia?
Oooooh, you know what? The place I was working was, like, a lodge kind of sort of place... and quite remote, I might say. About two hours outside of Denver. When the snow came, it was totally cut off. All roads were closed.
And craziest thing was, I had just started to read "The Shining". I don't recommend doing that. Gave me the shivers.
....
Anyways. No, it's not Australia. Yes, Europe would probably be too easy.
Hm, I'm stumped with that one. Could it be Canada?
Nope. Not in Canada, either.
Hi spidergal! No, not in Wyoming. In fact, not in the States at all...
Japan Geihoku Ski Resort?
No. It's not the Geihoku Ski Resort. It's not in Japan at all. But geographically, you're closer than spidergal...
There you go! The Valley of Flowers, in the Garhwal Himalayas of the northern Indian state of Uttaranchal...

geeez, I emptied all google images last night and did not come up
with anything. Thank goodness Francis found it, as I looked with some
trepidation into this thread now....
re: Francis's photo
I see date palms (I think), bougainvillea, lots of stucco, barrel vault roofs, swimming pools ....
Definitely a warm place. Are you somewhere around the Mediterranean?
Amazing, that's one of the few names of Greek places I know.
I was sure I was wrong, and didn't check back right away.
Now I'll go hunting for a new photo.
