Ehbeth, we posted at the same time, hence I didn't see your input. You are spot on, France it is, infact it stands in Nice. I posted that one to see if our French friend Francis would recognise it. You have the honour!

CJane - I was hoping for the location of the first one - but I thought I'd put a clue in right away. If you can find the second one, you're not horribly far from the first one.
(id'ing the artist might help find either one)

Ah, since you know where they're located I assume the place is Toronto?
Surely not. That guy front bottom left (excuse me Cal )would have a baseball cap on if it was there.

It's not Washington. First thought it'd be a State Capitol, but the architecture and cars would indicate outside of the US.
So I'll say Havana, Cuba.

There's an old English joke about a courtroom scene in a colonial country where the visiting Foreign Office official asked why the usher ran around the court jiggling the breasts of the ladies present when the judge made a wiiticism.
The colonial dignitary opened a book of reportage from an English courtroom which they were following and pointed to a parenthesis which read "a titter ran round the court" after an aside from the bench.
The architecture in the pic reminds me of that. It's an imitation.

Yes, no baseball caps in sight, you'd see more oldtimers like 1930 Ford T-Bird and the likes, and yes of course, it is Havanna, Cuba - old europe got it.
I hope one of these days I'll be able to go to Havanna...

Nice. Yes, I'd like to go to Havana, too. It's amazing how similar the thing is to US capitols, though.
Well then. And now for something entirely different....

Very fetching. Am I in Czech Republic? I only ask because of the red. I've no idea if there are mountains there...
