The only wine district I've heard of in the US, is Nappa Valley, wherever that is?

Northern California.
Some friends and I toured some of the wineries there years ago.
I can't recall any that looked like the picture.

I love Napa Valley, just love it.

Anyway, there are lists of vineyards..

I have a map to post, once you guess the Winery, and then will try to find some more photos I like of the landscape. I've some good ones myself, but not stored in my computer.

Thank you for that information George. Our region is called the "Barossa Valley", settled by early German immigrants during the 1840's. They built several wine cellars as depicted by osso still in use today.

Letty, go to google and type in wineries, Napa Valley, and you'll find a list.. and there are photos on google images...
it's true that you will see that there are pages of photos for any given winery, but you can usually tell right away.

That is what I did to post the photo in the first place.

Or you can go to google images and type in napa valley wineries map, and you will find one.

I did all that, osso. That's why I know about all those wineries.

Could not locate your image at all.

It's an impossible task without some direction.

Your map may be impossible, but I'm now going to have go through it, thanks to you! I like the look of vineyards, and now I'll have to check all those out. Oh, and then there's the Sonoma Valley, and the Russian River area, and and and...

Yeap, osso's pic it was. And you better had done that what Dutchy did, Letty, instead of burning your eyes while looking on the monitor Laughing

Razz Well, Walter and Dutchy, coffee will fix my head and my eyes. I'll guess Domain Chandon. There also appears to be a restaurant called The French Laundry. Maybe Francis will know. <smile>

The winery is on the map I showed at the top of this page.

The last photo is a promised one of the landscape of Napa Valley.

It is not Domaine Chandon.

The French Laundry is, I think, in Sonoma Valley but I might be wrong. In any case that's a restaurant, not winery.
