Oops, sorry. I didn't see your post, osso. I know that The French Laundry is a restaurant. I was just being funny.
Is the place farther South of Domain Chandon?
I saw Domaine Chandon and the French Laundry... not either of those.
Did I miss another guess?
I was incorrect, the French Laundry, is in Yountville, which is in Napa Valley.. but not the place in my original photo.
Is it north of Rutherford.
Yes, ehBeth..
and, natch, not south of D. Chandon.

That's how I felt about French coastal towns/cities yesterday... blink.
Stag's Leap? Can't tell about the wine that Francis posted. Sorta resembles Chardonnay and Merlot.
It's Chateau Montelena, Letty... the one at the top of the Napa maps..
I'm not much of a connoisseur, but I think it has long - in California winery time - been famous for its cabernet.
Ah, yes, true -

Hmmm. Well, osso, this doesn't resemble your picture, but it is awesome.
If you look up either Chateau Montelena Winery or Chateau Montelena on google images, you will see the photo and others that resemble it.
Yep!
Now of course I want to go there sometime..
Where am I and what is the significance?
Europe is correct, osso. My daughter is visiting today. What a delight to have her here. Such a lovely and even tempered young woman. <smile>
I shall check in from time to time.
Okay, we had a busy a2k day yesterday..
Nice about your daughter.
I'll stare at it some more and make a few guesses.
That roof looks so... french.
Never mind...
1) Is this in England?
2) Is this the house of a writer?
