It is a TV series on HBO, based on the popular books.

It is in its eighth season on HBO. You should probably start with season one.

If you get a Roku, and if you have HBO through any means (cable/satellite/whatever), you can stream the entire series on demand through your Roku.

There are two HBO apps on Roku. One is HBO Go, and one is HBO Now.

I forget which is which, but one of the apps is for people who already have HBO through cable or satellite, and the other app is for cord-cutters who buy HBO directly from HBO.

Since the two apps are completely identical, I don't know why they don't just combine them.

Each week's episode is played repeatedly on all the various HBO channels throughout the week.

But really, start with season one if you are new to the show.
