Hello fellow Gen-X and Y-ers,
My Question is...What the hell will we do?
The thing that really set the babyboomers apart was their sense of generational identity... this gave them generational power. What if we did the same? I mean, the boomers are fast retiring and our combined numbers equal theirs...
Wouldnt it be something if we threw away their old political paradigms? Their old political methods?
I admit, I cannot offer a "platform" for our generation. But what I can offer is maybe some perspective. Maybe if we start to see ourselves as an emerging group that is unique and ready to create change, who knows what we come up with...especially as the boomers began to resign themselves away from the controls of our society. Whether we realize this or not, it is happening. I think it is better to go into it with our eyes open, and our goals more or less unified.
Comments??? Ideas???
hmmmm... a single platform for a fiercely independent generation?

How about a single hub with different spokes?
I dunno.... I may not be the best Xer to talk with. I was born in 68 and have 2 siblings born before 67.
Create change like rolling things back to how they were in the 19th century?
I assume you are talking about the US generationX-Y?
(Since the generation x of other places have different characteristics).
INcidentally, I found this link informative:

So far it seems to me the hub is self, which is not much of a hub.
It would be nice if everyone suddenly believed it is in our own self-interest to be less self-interested... .
