Since my Air Force days when I drank too much beer, I've switched to wines, and found that reds are my favorite; cabs and merlots. I also like a little bit of tannin in my wine. California has many good wine districts including Sonoma-Napa and Lodi. When traveling, I like to try the local wines. When eating out, the wines recommended by the restaurant are pretty good, and they're reasonable at $8 to $15 a glass. I have about 25 bottles of wine at home (many in a cooler), but nobody drinks wine any more. What's been your experience and favorites?
