@McGentrix,
Congratulations on making it one piece so far. It’s never a guarantee we make it through our modern day lives without a few nips, tucks and rebuilds here and there. I’ve been rebuilt a few times (defibrillator-pacemaker plus some cancer surgeries) and, at age 70, I am still walking around unassisted. Genetics are sometimes just not in our favor.

All that being said, I wish you continued good luck and keep smelling those roses.

Surgery went well, still here, feels like a horse kicked my ass, but seems ok. Already noticing improvement on somethings

@McGentrix,
Hi McG,

I had a feeling you might have gone in for your surgery when I seen the Mohawks didn't look the best this week.

Good man yourself, I'm glad the surgery went well and I hope you have many marathons ahead of you.

3 weeks on and I am just on a cane now. Stiff after sitting, but that is about it.

I'm impressed McG, 3 weeks in and you're getting a stiffy already.

You the Man!.

I'm happy for you. Keep it up.

Now I've made it through the heart valve transplant. thank goodness it was the aortic valve with no other problems so I didn't have open heart surgery. One night in the hospital and then home. Miracles of modern day medics!

@BillW,
My oldest sister (in 70s at the time) did fine with her aortic valve replacement. In fact, she called it ‘Miss Piggy.’ Which made us all chuckle. With medical science being as advanced as it is, she had many more useful years added to her life to spend with children, brothers, sisters and grandchildren. May the same be the case for you, too.
