Japanese vocabulary

Alibi, Gala, Gnu, Hero, Mate, Star, Stun.

I doubt any of these are Japanese words but one of these words definitely cannot be. Which one?

I suggest you investigate those words with an English /l/ or /r/ phoneme.

Thanks for you help. I get the pronunciation issue with L and R but there is only one answer which cannot possibly be a japanese word. Totally flumoxxed. Guess I am looking at it the wrong way. My guess is Star but don't know why!

Is the answer Star? All japanese words must end in a vowel apart from words ending in letter N e.g Stun.
