The Lautrec exhibit was great. It traced is childhood and what other artists were coming up with. Also talked about the figures for many of his paintings and gave a lot of historical background into the bohemian class at the time. I love Lautrec as well...the colors amaze me.
JLNobody - you're right about his similarity to Degas...I noticed that as well. And also in his work he had people in akward poses like Degas would portray. Things that were not usually represented in art during that time.
I acutally like Frida Kahlo's work. I studied it in college, but you're right, it is a bit scary and violent at times...
