I hope nothing happens!! I'll keep them in my prayers!
Everybody out of bed! Run for it!
Perhaps someone could help me out. I find a certain irony in this thread. First of all I certainly want no harm to come to anyone as a result of this earthquake/tsunami. "I'll keep them in my prayers" and "Everyone pray hard" jump out at me. If the deity of your choice is all knowing and benevolent as I've often heard, why would we have the earthquake at all. Isn't it really just natural law, the simple movement of techtonic plates? Intelligent design indeed...........? Help me here.
Oh, I'm completely agnostic.
I don't really pray. But the impending news (which happily didn't lead to a tsunami, though there are still terrible aftershocks going on) was quite dire, and those who do pray would be well advised to.
Sort of a general way of getting across the gravity of the situation in just a few words; I didn't have a lot of time when I posted the first post.
I would encourage everyone to read up on the continuing disaster in this area which has already been hit hard this year by the Tsunami and please donate some time or money to help these folks out.
Cheers
